There has been an equestrian centre on the site where Cobham Manor Livery is based since 1954, its a long standing part of the history of Thurnham and many local residents over the years learnt to ride there.
The centre itself, whilst focusing on competitions/events for both affiliated and unaffiliated riders in jumping, dressage and other interest disciplines, still actively offers tuition through Cobham Manor Riding Centre.
Cobham Manor Events is affiliated to the following equestrian governing bodies:
Events are held throughout the year with only a slight lull over the Christmas period.
All the events are run outside in predominantly our 60m x 30m floodlit equi sand/equi rubber post and rail enclosed riding arena with warm up predominantly being in our 40m x 20m arena.
Visiting professionals hire our facilities to host their own training clinics and other events such as Fun Agility.
Cobham Manor Livery is now a much smaller livery yard, with just 18 boxes and approx 12 acres of post/rail and post/rope/tape electric fenced grazing (shared turnout
in small groups) offering 5/7 Day Full Livery. On the rare occasion I have DIY livery spaces.
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
